What a beautiful family, Heidi (your father, too!)! Thank you so much

for taking the time to post those lovely photos.

Sorry about Arthur. He's a mean-spirited fellow, isn't he? I wish he'd

find someone else to pick on. Somebody mean and nasty.

Don't worry. You'll have some time to write more someday - maybe when

Fabien is in college, LOL!

Oh Heidi!

What lovely pictures!!! I hope you don't mind, I have Fabien as

wallpaper on my computer. He's just SO beautiful. Speaking of

beautiful, you look amazing. You really just had a baby??? And n,

very handsome, as well as your dad.

I'm sorry that Arthur has come to visit you. I hope he decides to leave

you alone long enough to nurse a little longer. Do keep in mind that

the most important time you've already done, with the colostrum. I'm

sure it's hard to give up that bonding time, though. I'll have you in

my prayers, as I so often do.

Sending you love and (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((ginormous

hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))),

Carol

Hi there Everyone!

I'm missing you all so much but never seem to get enough time to sit

down and write any e-mail - never mind reading all the ones I'm behind

on! Fabien is finally asleep for a little while so I'll try and finish

this one (It's about the 10th time I've tried - it's been stuck in my

draft files for over a week lol!)

Fabien is doing very well, he's growing by the day, he is already

starting to float less in his clothes. I'm so totally in love with the

little chap that I don't know how I'm ever going to get back to real

life!

My dad has sent me some of the photos we took when he was here so I

finally have something digital to send to the group! Needless to say

these don't really show me at my best (think I'd had about 4 hours sleep

in a week when they were taken lol!) but the main thing is that they

show our little guy really well and I wanted to share them with you all.

Plus you get to see n changing nappies!! (there are NO photo's of

ME doing this - my main occupation in life right now lol - but like

Jules says we always photograph exceptional moments lol!) My Dad is the

proud grandpa with the glasses, he's coming again in August so we'll

take some more photos then. Here you go!

http://www.venturenet.co.za/~stepcon/fabian/fabian.html

I'm still breastfeeding (keep those prayers coming - they're working

again!) I've been swearing at good old Arthur a lot lately - his ears

must have burnt off by now lol! He's definitely back and is giving me

some trouble, mainly pain and stiffness in the mornings and late

evenings, which makes feeding at those times a bit of a challenge, but

it's not so bad that I can't deal with the pain, or handle Fabien, so

I'm carrying on with my breastfeeding till it gets too bad. I'm also

very tired (although thats pretty much a given nowadays anyway lol!)

For now I'm trying to sleep as much as possible (not as easy as it used

to be :-) and stay as relaxed as I can, the more tired and stressed I am

the worse it gets. I'm taking one Voltaren every second night and

paracetomal to get me through the rest of the time. This is the

" cocktail " suggested by my Rheumy while I'm breastfeeding it's not

really great shakes but seems to be taking the edge off the pain, which

is very managable for now and well worth it for the reward of being able

to breastfeed.

I'm still planning on writing my " blow by blow " account of his birth as

soon as I get some more free time - have to get my next " draft " going!

Just wanted to let you all know that I'm thinking of you and share the

photos.

Love, hugs and prayers to all and welcome to all the new members - I

look forward to getting to know you once I'm back to more frequent

posting!

Hi !

Thanks - we're blushing :-o lol!

I had to laugh about having time when Fabien's in college - it feels like that

might be the case - I'm having fantasies about going to have my HAIR CUT! I

can't imagine having that much time lol!

I hope you're doing well,

Hugs,

Heidi

Sorry to hear that Fabien is a bit fussy lately, Heidi. I hope that's

over soon. I remember those sleep-deprived days so well!

I also hope you can get out to have your hair cut sometime soon. I

remember thinking that it was a major accomplishment to be able to take

a quick shower and find the kids still alive after I emerged from the

bathroom.

These early days are very hard, but it does get easier.
