meg, when we first moved in here in jan 2003, dad needed help with cooking

and cleaning but was self reliant on bathroom and showers although we had to

fight to get him to take a shower. as the year went on dad had more and

more unexplained falls, and more tremors adn dr jekyll mrhyde episodes, esp

when donnie was out of town, he would yell and scream and treat me like i

was his prosititue instead of his daughter, it was dreadful for me, but

only me, it wasnt until a little later on did he startr having those

yelling and evil stages with donnie. eventually we needed to have someone

here 24 hours a day, with my ehalth i wasnt alwyas able to do it, take

advantage of any program you can, includiing hospice, elders affairs,

council of aging, anything, use all programs you can, they do help we

had meals on wheels delivered for lunch as dad didnt eat breakfast until1130

so that was when meals on wheels came adn incase i was down with a kidney

infection i knew he would get a good meal anyway. that was a life saver.

keep your spirits up , we are here with you, hugs sharon

meg, i was living in madison (just north of nashville) tennessee, but dad

lived in pensacola florida which is where we live now. i inherited his house

aned have had some work done to it, so it is now my home and finally fixed

up from all the hurricane damage 0ver the years that dad ignored. i had one

bedroom window that was damamged since opal in 94 and it had woodrot to the

roof, so we are gonna stay put, still have a few more things to do but

will get it all done in time. let us know thta the neuro says. good luck

Well this doctor said that he did not have Parkinsons but had Lewey Bodyish

symptoms plus shy drager because of the hypotention..He is sticking with both of

these symptoms..He is going to review all paper work and has not ruled out

NPH...however he is concerned about the hallucinations which means LBD...and Shy

Drager symptoms as well...he definately found frontal lobe deterioration, memory

loss and cognitive loss..we are going to hear from him again in 2 weeks after he

reviews the paper work...I am amazed at all the areas of the country that are

affected...sounds like you have a big project..I am also renovating our home in

case I have to make a sudden sale...it all tumbles down on us at once...
