Guest guest
Hi Stella, how nice to say hi to some fellow Kiwis! Don't know Taupo terribly well but have stayed there in the past few years, i went to a photography convention down there and had a great time. So sorry to hear your Mum has passed away must have been a hard time for you. I still have my Mum alive at the age of 92 and she is still going strong and living in her own home. No sign of dementia -for instance i wouldn't dare start talking politics to her! I wouldn't get a word in edgeways. I have found that even local Drs don't appear familiar with LBD it was a locum from overseas that spotted the Parkinsons symptoms and said would we agree to seeing a specialist at the local hospital. Since then this Dr has put hubby through lots of tests and came up with LBD with Parkinsons symptoms. The last time we saw this Dr., he told my hubby he thought he was a great 'survivor' Hubby has also in the past had a heart attack and a nasty bowel operation for a tumour and also epilepsy (luckily now controlled). So over the years we have had fun and games i can tell you and then they wonder why through all this i ended up with diabetes - i guess through all the stress - as i'm by no means overweight in fact i'm quite a small person. So it's great now that hubby is looked after 24/7 in a wonderful resthome and is very happy. Stella by all means if i should ever get down your way i'll call in. Not likely, but who knows, i would love a holiday so one never knows. Thanks for contacting me.
