Guest guest Posted March 23, 2002 Report Share Posted March 23, 2002 Just wanted to update on little . Since she is the second here I will try to remember to call her little to avoid confusion. She is growing up a storm & changing everyday. Her visit w/ the geneticist went really well. They were very helpful & answered alot of ?'s for us. They made the referal for to have an echocardiogram(sp?) and we had that done last week. They said everything looked fine. So it felt really good to put that issue to rest. She also has started her ST this week. I think I'm going to like her therapist pretty good. She is 3 months old now and she is such a joy. She is really alert and seems to notice everything. She has favorite toys & favorite people (mama of course). She also likes music. When she hears a familiar song, she seems to sort of stop & really listen. It looks like shes thinking, " hey I've heard this somewhere before. " This precious gift has added so much to our lives in such a short time. I am thankful however that she is my 3rd child instead of my first. I think all firstborns deserve a royal break for what they endure while we parents try to figure out what we're doing. At least for me. I was so stressed over everything did & put so much pressure on him, it was totally unfair but I was young & expected him to be perfect. Anyway I have mellowed with age and realize you cannot rush anything with children. They will do when they're ready, and that is fine with me. We will make sure has all the EI services & every opportunity to reach her potential. I just don't ever want to pressure her like I did . Sorry to ramble so, but it has been quiet on here lately.
