Guest guest
Last night I was still too sore to work out because I had Leg Day with my trainer the day before. But the Gods saw favor upon me, for in my mailbox was Turbo Sport 3 and Best of Turbo Kick Volume 7! I never teach or do the Best Of's til waaaaay later in time. The most recent one I did was BO3.. So needless to say the first thing I did when I got in the door was to rip open the package and watch Turbo Sport 3, taking notes on my white board so that I could do the routine to the cd as soon as my beat up legs and glutes would allow. I slept for 12 hours, and lo and behold, I could walk! I did Turbo Sport 3 in its entirety today and I LOVE it!The music is the best since R36, in my opinion. There were a couple of tunes I recognized from a couple of the Hustles, but most of it was new! Below is the basic choreo. I don't know all of the music, so if anyone wants to help me complete the database.... punches: very simple - jcjc, 2 knees (which I made a knee kick, knee crescent instead), 4 crosses, 4 uppers, hi lo right x4, hi lo left x4b) FUN! double jab speebag x4, 3 twists and a row, I just made it 4 twists with a kick instead, as I like kicks kicks: again, DYNAMITE!! jumpropes, hop hop hold. One thing I love about TS3 is the creative use of jumpropes throughout! 4 front kicks, 2 power knees back, 3 crosses and a block, jab and jack to each side. hi lo to both corners, then center, 2 jacks. Lunge and jack on one side, like in Turbo Fire and of the recent turbos in TK. My heart was pounding outta my chest!punches and kicks: tap, roundhouse, back kick front kick, 4 crosses zig-zag, 4 crosses speedbag hop double bob and block, 3 front kick knee, clockworkturbo: simple, yet effective! I enjoyed seeing the tire runs again. Not sure we've done those since R14? recovery: as with all Turbo Sports, short. Just the way I like it! finale #1: both finales are A BLAST!!! 2 knees, 4 punches, then singles. ski 3 with a knee to 11 and 1, then two jacks, capoeira. FUN!! finale #2: even more fun than finale #1! 3 crosses, uppercut. double cross each side, zig zag knee. double bob and block, boxer jumpropes, high knees. It doesn't sound like much written, but when you do it you'll see what I mean! legs: yes, even though Noel KILLED my legs with 200lb squats on 3 machines I did the leg section, which was fun! lots of lunges to side, front, and lunge kicks. pushps: I wish all TK rounds had a pushup section to give the upper body some love! We have some staggered pushups in this one. Did them all on my toes, I'm very happy that thanks to my trainer I'm getting a lot stronger! abs: NICE! the usual torturecooldown: I just did my own.New instructors: This is much easier to teach than most rounds. It's athletic, not dancey, and fewer layers. I can't wait to do this again next week! In Turbo Heaven,
