Guest guest
Hi Wolfie- Thanks for the update, and we are so so very happy you were able to see your grandma. Hugs- Sandie and -- Gram @ NH Hi People. Just wanted to let you know that I finally got to see my Gram Wednesday afternoon. She hadn't eaten her breakfast or lunch and had been crying -- the nurse reported. Mom & I got there and I sat back as Mom talked to her & combed her hair. Then I sat with her & got her to eat a snack bar & a cup of pudding & drink a glass of milk! I am not always the 'magic bullet', but I know that sometimes God gifts me with being able to reach her when others can't. She perked up just a tiny bit. Enough to say 'Gee-man-eeee'. That was my teeny flicker of my pre-LBD Gram. She said a few appropriate sentences and we looked out the window at the flowers. She started fading back into it. I gave her a hug & a kiss. Just so glad that I got to see her! She was released back to the NH late Thursday evening. My mom said that she & her sister are going to be investigating a different nursing home that has an Alzheimer's unit. I want to thank you all for your prayers & responses. I appreciate them all greatly. --Wolfie
