Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for all your info and for sharing. Happy Mother's Day too!!! My daughter is on Lexapro also, 15 mg. and not on any ADD drug. We are deciding between Strattera and Foculin (which is a purer form of Ritalin, and suppose to create less anxiety.) You are right, but I think the Lexapro does make the ADD worse. Sometimes I can't even talk to her because she doesn't know what is going on. Other times, she is fine. Strattera is more like an SSRI and takes a while to work. It only works in 1/3 of the cases and you have to taper off of it slowly. I read all the potential side effects....Ugh! However, I guess that is with all drugs. It just concerns me to have her on 2 SSRI's. You have had success with concerta, isn't that a type of ritalin too? I have a hope (which I am sure won't come true), that if her attention can improve, than the OCD/anxiety shcould improve also. Because not knowing what is going on around you would make anyone anxious! Hmmmm..... What grade is your daughter in? When did she need to start the Concerta? The work gets harder and it becomes more necessary. Anyway, thanks for listening. Again, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Ellen
