Hi Courage-

We asked Hospice how long our dad could survive without

anything. We were told he could live a few days on a sip

of water. Also, in a 2 week time, maybe longer, dad had less

than a half cup of a chocolate nutrition drink, not all at one

time and nothing else. We were told the body will start

taking from itself, including water, to survive. That is why

the body breaks down without nutrition. That, and

of course, lack of exercise, and nutrition. Hope this helps.

Hi All,

Does anyone know how long a person can live on Ensure alone? Mom is not

eating very much at all but we do try to get her to drink her ensure.
