The question was " If givin the choice, would he have wanted to know he has

MDS ? , " Well I have an answer to that would you like to hear it . . . . .

The answer would be, No.

This is just my stand point, but I have been steroetyped all my life, and

ridiculed all my life on my dignoses Of MDS. >>

Hiya KC! So nice to finally hear from you! I, as well as all the other

group members, really appreciate any time you can find in your teenage

schedule to share with us! Thanks in advance! :>)

My daughter (MDS) , is 7-weeks old today! My husband and I have

already decided NOT to share her MDS with anyone, except my in-law's and her

pediatrician. I do not want her to be pre-judged by anyone, and if we ever

need to share this information with anyone, we will know when, where and how

to, and with whom. We have even decided NOT to share this with 's two

older brothers (ages 9 and 11) and her 9-year-old sister.

You have now given me something very important to ponder over......whether

to tell about her MDS when she is old enough. I know I have plenty

of time for this, but it might take me this long to make the right decision!

I don't want her to think that she ever has an excuse not to keep up with

others because she knows she has MDS. I also don't ever want her to suffer

from any type of peer pressure because of this! Not sure if I'm making much

sense here, but I have alot of thoughts on this going through my mind right

now!

Thanks KC, and I truly look forward to learning much more from your

experiences!

Bree

Mommy to (MDS), born July 17th, 1999, 2 sons (ages 11 & 9) and a

step-daughter (9).
