Effexor for fibro question

My name is , and I've been on the list for a while, but never really

posted.

I've had mild fibro, well, it varied,for a while, but I managed on my own. The

headaches and sleep issues and other symptoms were getting out of hand, though,

so I went to the doctor, and she started me on Effexor for anxiety, etc.

I'd never heard of it before, so I started some research online, and I guess

this drug is beyond nasty to get off of, once you've been taking it for a while.

Does anyone here have any experience with it for fibro?

Are there any better options? I don't tolerate tricyclics. The only other

non-SSRI that I can handle is Deseryl.

Has anyone tried a combo of Wellbutrin and Xanax?
