Guest guest
Dear and all, As I was reading your post and got to the part about baby not being organized with a finger, the preference for right sided-ness, the tension in the occiput, I’m thinking ‘boy, this baby needs a neuro referral’. I’m about ¾ of the way through nursing school and just finished up with Peds, so those three things in combo really jumped out at me. I believe you’re doing all the right things for her to get feeding going well. I doubt that it’s a calorie insufficiency that is causing this baby to take so long to eat and not suck well. I’d suggest continuing with all the great work you’ve been doing and then making that referral to a pediatric neurologist asap. Respectfully submitted.
