Guest guest
Hi and welcome! The members of this group have had much success on this program too. We help keep each other motivated with TONS of humor and lots of compassion. We all discuss our workouts, send words of inspiration and discuss our challenges and set backs. The feedback we all give and receive is the best motivation I have found. We would love to hear how you have done so far and what your new goals are. You have just joined one of the best extended families....again, welcome! Rhonda aka F-Stop
Guest guest
Welcome Laurie~ I have been here only a week so far and have had so many " Ah Ha " moments after reading others posts of things I had not even considered being a part of my son's OCD. My son , age 7, has morbid thoughts as your daughter does. He was just diagnosed in September. When the thoughts first started it was so terrifing. He explained it as " my head is telling me these things. " I feared he was hearing " voices " . It was a huge relief to find it was OCD. To acutally know he wasn't crazy. 's Story moved me to tears. It all sounded so familiar. I'm so happy that CBT worked so well for him. I hope things go as well for all of us that are in the middle of this battle. Good luck with the meds and the therapy with your daughter. Keep us posted on how it is working for her. I'm so glad you joined the group, it's so nice to know that you and your child aren't the only ones out there dealing with the same things. Guest guest
Radio....welcome to the "same thing" group. I am going through the same thing as you....now. I got off Lptr...tried supplmnts, back to Zcor. I'm taking as little as I can and still experience the side effects. They have claimed I have crpl tnnl also. I know it's from the Statins. I had cprl in my youth...I know the diff. Keep trying supplmnts until you find the correct combo. It may be that you have to take a little"med" and some spplmnts. Keep in contact with your Doc....but you are the boss and everyone works FOR YOU! A Statin is a Statin. I'm 47 and my mind is repeating stuff too. I believe my wife could slap me at times....just to get me over the "skip" and get back to the original conversation. Good luck in your adventure!radiosale wrote: Hello All,Slowly the symptoms returned, although not quite as severe. Guest guest
I'm new to the group. My 8 year old son,Jonathon, has had behavioral and language problems since around 19 months old.He bangs his head, sef injures, hits, kicks, bites, and has many tantrums a day. I tried speaking to his pediatrician for years that I thought something was wrong with him.He sent him to a psychiatrist where he was treated for ADHD and Bi-polar for the last 5 years.Nothing worked.Recently a new psychiatrist did some testing with him.She stated he is autistic and has referred him to a developemental pediatrician.I question why it would take so long to figure this out and worry about the outcome for my son.He is in an EBD (emotionally and behaviorally disturbed) classroom at school. There are 7 kids to 1 teacher and 1 aid.He is not doing well academically but the switch to this classroom has helped his behaviors. He receives ST,OT, and PT.The doctors said his IQ is in the mentally retarded range but her and I both agree thats not accurate (it's just impossable to get the testing completed by him). Words of advice and wisdom would be appreciated. Jenni
