Yeah, these glasses were pricey - exam was free as were the lenses, with insurance, but between the $25 copay and $330 frames it wound up being very expensive, $185.  I'm on.y able to afford these because miracle of miracles we actually got a bonus at work this year.

What I'm going to do is find some cheap fun frames on Ebay or use my Mom's very hip specs from the 60's and get a pair just for reading next year for next to nothing.  They did have frames there that would have been free after insurance, but I'm sorry, I gotta have style, something that reflects me if I'm going to wear them a lot.

So I feel your pain.  Do you guys have a Flex spending account so you can at least pay for these with pre-tax dollars? If that you or DH have that through work maybe you can do this next year?  I waited 12 years, which is bad since my mom has glaucoma, but I'm fine..

As for yoga, I've been neglecting it lately too but when I don't do it, I seem to get injured or reinjure myself.  I would like to make my " rotation " for the time being be running and yoga, peppered with strength training.

I thought I had lunch plans with friends today but am happy that I do not so that I can put in some time on the recumbent bike, foam roller, do some biceps, triceps and abs.  There's almost no one in the office today so I'll sneak in a longer workout than normal.

I'm soooooooo close to being back to where I was in July at 175.  Anything I lose beyond that for me is a true loss. Not drinking has helped tremendously and I feel so much better in general.  My skin has also cleared up, but this could be due to the annual colon cleanse I'm doing too.

I am not  used to working out in the evening so I had to force myself to

do yoga.  My lower back was talking to me and I knew I *had* to do it!

I went with the full 43 minute Side Body Stretches practice from Eoin Finn's Blissology Project.  As with the other three practices I've done from this series, this one was just lovely.  This time it's only Eoin on the seashore in Bali, no background exercisers.  It's funny, because this one was much more restorative than the one he calls " Restorative " , in my opinion!

It's the easiest of the 4 practices I've done from this series so far. There are 2 more for me to do, the Strength and Stretch and Metta Yoga practices.

I was joined by my extra fuzzy orange and white cat, , for the shavasana and  meditation, which made it extra special.  He usually joins me when I do yoga, though sometimes we fight over the mat and some

swats from him and grumbles from me ensue.  The shavasana's theme was lying down as if in a hammock on vacation and letting it all go, and the focus of the 10 minute meditation was on Manifesting.  It was nice.

There were lots of wonderful stretches and twists in this one.  I need more.  I think from all the impact of running I'm doing I'll need to do yoga 5 days a week or so to strengthen and lengthen. Even after tonite I still need more stretching, and while Wonky Knee feels " fine " he is also talking to me along

with Grumpy Lower Back.  Today i went to the eye doctor for the first time in 12 years (yes I hate the exam that much) and it turns out I

need BIFOCALS!  Of course the frames I like must have been the most expensive ones there and after insurance covered $160 bucks of it I still owed $185.  Yikes! No supplement order for me this month!  Not that I really need any more, but I did want the cinnamon flavored ON protein powder and some orange Xtend but I have enough of both in other flavors to see me through for awhile :)

Namaste!
