Guest guest
HI Marge and EveryOne, If you were hypothyroid all your life and still had hair on your legs and arms it was probably because your ovaries were making enough hormones, but after menopause, your body depends on your adrenals to make those same hormones that the ovaries used to make and if the adrenal gland isn't functionin well the hormones aren't available the thyroid doesn't function well either and you lose hair. I highly recommend that you get some thyroid hormone (Armour) and perhaps cortisol (Isocort) and get enough thyroid and adrenal hormones. Lack of both can lead to much more serious diseases. Since this topic is getting way off topic please continue it at the Off topic list... If that is so, why did I have low thyroid all my adult life and still had mucho hair on my legs for years. > > My daddy didn't have much hair on his chest. Dr. Philpott said that sparse hair on a man's chest and calves was a sign of low adrenal cortex hormones. > > My son used to get those shots six times a week. He has only one testicle, but he has lots of hair on his chest. My husband had much hair on his chest also and he never got bald. > > Blessings on you all. LOve.
