What to Expect

Champs League is focused on teaching game skills at a pace in which the players can learn and have fun with their peers. We will use skill stations to isolate the learning of each skill and assist the children in understanding how to perform that skill. Our goal is to provide a nurturing, fun environment for all kids to play.

Volunteer Opportunities:

We need BUDDIES! A BUDDY is any interested volunteer ages 11 - 18. A buddy will be paired with a Champs League player and the role of the buddy is to assist that player during the practice/game session. There is no cost to be a buddy and all buddies will receive community service hours for their volunteer time.

Scholarships Available:

The West Austin Youth Association offers every child the opportunity to participate regardless of skill level, talent or financial need. Scholarships are available for each sport and program that WAYA offers. To obtain a scholarship, you must complete the registration form for the sport or program, complete a scholarship request form and return them both to WAYA prior to the registration deadline. All scholarship requests made prior to the registration deadline will be honored; there will be no scholarships given to requests made after the registration deadline. Once the registration deadline has passed, WAYA will contact scholarship participants to notify them of their scholarship amount. Scholarship money is allocated at the beginning of each fiscal year and the amount awarded is based upon the number of requests made per sport.
