What insurance codes to use with our kids

Hi,

I thought I remember a post discussing insurance codes but nothing

came up during my search of the archives. Does anyone have a link

or list of codes that could be used for our kids--problems that they

usually have that would warrant speech, OT, lab testing, etc? I

would be happy to add this to the FILES section if someone can post

it or steer me in the right direction. My insurance wants codes

pertaining to every test or therapy when a claim is submitted (which

I am sure all insurances require) and the facility we are looking at

is not familiar with co-morbidity factors in children with autism or

what codes to use besides autism. I hear never to use autism 299.

My kiddo has constipation, immune dysregulation-catches everything,

intestional issues-undigested food in stools without enzymes, low

muscle tone, weakness in some muscles, poor fine motor/handwriting,

apraxia, speech delay, auditory processing problems, poor

articulation, is a mouth breather, has regular yeast and bacterial

infections, night-time bed wetting, food sensitivities, aphasia,

spikes on his EEG but no visible seizures, and probably some other

things that I have forgotten (also a family history-

grandparent/cousins- of lupus, anemia, high blood pressure,

diabetes, hypothyroidism,epilepsy, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis).

Thanks in advance for any help,

Theresa, in SA
