Caudwell funding - turned down

what does one have to be to get caudwell funding

i was turned down - which was disappointing. i dont work, have no income - but

have a small bit of savings

the application says you can apply if you make less than 45000 per year which we

are no where near .

i am not going to bother appealling, obviously they can make their own decisions

- but just wanted to know if anyone is getting funding for biomed.
