Guest guest
,its by accident, i have tried couple of different companies, i dont have cell phone reception in most parts of the house. In the kitchen and front area i do, but my son doesnt spend much time there.I ordered the canopy anyways, but havent received it...its been a month! I have to call them...Just heading out to Dr Steve appt, will report more laterPramila Re: EMF Question/lights/cell phones useage Hi Heidi, I'm guessing the answer would be no. The radio waves from cell phone towers are a totally different beast than EMR. My TriFeild meter doesn't detect that particular frequency, so I tried putting my cell phone in and under different things and calling it from a land line. It still rings inside my solid steel HON file cabinet here at work, inside a ziplock bag buried in a steel drum filled with machined aluminum scrap chips. Under sheets of copper, wrapped in aluminum foil...... I just don't know how we can get away from cell phone radiowaves. They are WAY harder to block than EMR. It would be fantastic if someone could get their hands in one of the bed nets and let us know if they still see the bars on their cell phone when inside it. Do the vendors take sample material to conferences? If so - how about some field testing with multiple different phones/networks? When I was looking at houses in the mountains last year, my agent thought a positive selling point to mention was the availability of cell phone reception in some of the most remote locations. Not for me! I'd have my cell phone out looking for the bars to start dropping. Unless it's totally zero in the house I wouldn't consider buying. According to the book Cross Currents, you would need to be at the base of a mountain below a transmitter, in the "radio dead zone". Without one on the opposite mountain beaming back at you. Tough criteria to meet in the Bay Area - you see those towers are EVERYWHERE once you know what to look for. Using a single phone to test this is not very exact though - some networks have broader coverage than others. Remember the Verizon commercial - "More bars in more places"? It would depend on the network that particular phone searching looking for. So in the future I'll either borrow phones using other network providers or buy a meter that detects all RF signals. I'll look into the cost when the time comes to start house hunting again. The nutty things we do...... If I remember rightly, Pramila mentioned she has zero cell phone reception in her house. Just by sheer chance I think, not something she did. I wonder what the house is made of? I'm pretty sure she's not in a radio dead zone.
