Guest guest
Terry, holding back? I shared that story once before. You must've missed it somehow. So, what do you think of maybe soaking some herbs in the raw milk with some honey and maybe kefirring the whole thing, or just clabbering it??? Seems like the liver would be the organ to focus on for the herbs, don't you think? Any ideas or thoughts? ~Tonio btw, I too came across that first website a while back. Interesting. Finally Tonio (holding back now for how many months on this exciting tidbit...?) breaks his "Silence".....lol. Thanks for the nibble. --Terry This is the True Ayurveda, from what I've always read. http://www.sanatansociety.org/indian_vegetarian_recipes/milk_vegetarian_diet.htm http://www.helloindya.com/feminine_zone/pregnancy_childbirth2.htm http://www.hinduism-today.com/archives/1996/1/1996-1-11.shtml

Tonio and those interested in the Milk Cure, When I was recovering from being on Prednisone and was still holding on to alot of swelling after 6 months off the drug (I had a terrible moon face, a hump, swollen abdomen, breasts, armpits, upper back... all of which gave me terrible stretch marks... sigh), I went on my own version of the Milk Cure. I drank goat's milk yoghurt mixed with raw honey and water and lime juice (or lemons when organic limes weren't available.) exclusively for a week, then took a few days off, then repeated it about 6 times I think. I guess it would be considered a nutritive fast. I didn't consume anywhere near the volume that is recommended on the the Milk Cure. Probably 5 or 6 glasses a day. I did it because I was trying to cleanse my body of all the toxins and drug residue remaining, NOT to speed the weight loss. (It always ticks me off when my husband says I went on a " liquid diet " and finally lost the steroid-induced weight gain... it was a CLEANSE! Maybe I'm just sensitive since I've always been a slender girl). But it sure did contribute to rapid weight/water loss, and, I believe, prepared my body to get pregnant after all the indignities done to it by Prednisone. So it wasn't exactly the Milk Cure, but it sure helped me!
Guest guest
Hi , Thank you for sharing that with us. Why did you choose that particular version of the milk cure? Why adding the citrus? ~Tonio When I was recovering from being on Prednisone and was still holding on to alot of swelling after 6 months off the drug (I had a terrible moon face, a hump, swollen abdomen, breasts, armpits, upper back... all of which gave me terrible stretch marks... sigh), I went on my own version of the Milk Cure.
