How much to they charge per dive at Scotson?

I would say you need way more than 20 dives to see benefit from

HBOT, although every child is different. You can do two dives a day but its

not usually double the dose, but it will give the child the maximum oxygen that

their body can absorb. I have used 'A Breath for Life' centre near Morecambe,

Lancs who are a children's charity and only charge £10 per dive. There

are many caravan parks in the area for accommodation.

Hi. My two have been doing HBOT for a year now. We started last summer

holidays and went once a day for five weeks except Sundays. We go to the MS

therapy centre in Rawdon. I don't know where you come from but if you are from

up north, it might be nearer for you and you wouldn't need to stay over. We

have been every school holidays once a day since then and it has been really

effective. They tell me that once a child has done 20 or so, even if they only

go once a week it is beneficial. Hope this helps. Best wishes, . X

At Advance children often do two dives a day and one lot of therapy ie TST. We found that the TST increases the capacity to benefit from HBOT, so IMO spending a lot on HBOT before the capacity to maintain breathing and hence oxygenation may yield less benefit than starting TST with HBOT added then.

Scotson HBOT is more expensive than MS centres.. I think it is about £45 per dive for new patients, however if you child is young the benefits of the little tank is that you and your child can do a mask free dive and both benefit from the therapy.. and it is less stressful than having the plastic " fishbowl " like structure on them.

Just my thinking on this.. Tracey
