Guest guest
To Who it does Concern: The Social Security benefits that the government gives, allows one to work part-time. You have to check with them. There is a limit on how much you can earn. However, I feel it is adequate for a part-time job. It is more than you would have then if you didn't work part-time. You don't loose your " check " if you work part-time. Just follow the rules. Tell your husband. Sincerely, (Anjillah) Anjillah@...
Guest guest
Kathi, I am happier working. It wasn't easy finding the right position that allowed me to sit yet move around when I needed to. I don't worry about loosing my SS. I don¹t come close to making enough to affect it. I'm only working 2 days a week, and that is all I can physically do. I'm not taking classes. I have to take advanced algebra next and I still haven't found the nerve to take it. I'm going to take the plunge one of these days since it is standing between me and my degree LOL! I just found my daughter's algebra books from when she was in college, so I'm going to start brushing up and preparing myself. I have not heard from Iris. I wish she would write. I'm worried about her. Which Lynn are you referring to? I know you want to work because you want to feel useful, but you ARE very useful to your family. It is great that you can be home with Marissa. a > a: You sound so happy, so congrats on your new job. Yes,they have > several temp companies here. I have broached the subject of part time > work several times, with my better half and he gets very upset. He > feels after all the BS with SS that it would'nt be worth it. He seems > to think that I would loose my BIG benifits with a part time job. I > cant seem to make him understand that I would gain other satisfaction > from feeling usefull again. Are you still taking classes, also? > Speaking of oldies....how is Lynn and has anyone heard from Iris? > Anyways a once again CONGRATS on your new job......hugs Kathi in > OK PS.....please don't push to hard....
