Guest guest
Hi, Hello, I respect that most parents will always feel the need to trial any intervention that might be beneficial to their disabled child i.e trial and error. My logic is that 'message therapy' is theraputic for all, disabled and non-disabled, but I question this therapy being 'packaged' as TST. It makes what is an ancient therapy somehow exclusive and similar to a 'patent' therapy for which it cannot be as there are many books available on this therapy so its no 'secret'. I've read the slant of 's posts for ages and its routine that can post re TST on what is essentially a forum for children whose main diagnosis is autism. For TST to grow as a therapy, its good to infiltrate the growning numbers of autistic children, considering that in Advance Charity Commission published accounts http://www.charity-commission.gov.uk/Showcharity/RegisterOfCharities/CharityWith\ outPartB.aspx?RegisteredCharityNumber=1026049 & SubsidiaryNumber=0 showed net outgoing to income upto 31/8/10 and it would be interesting to see this year's accounts thankful to TST being spread on forums. There is a continued spread of awareness of how successful biomedical is for autistic children. Biomedical conferences including the recent conference certainly spread the knowledge of biomedical and it's essential that those new and old to biomedical should apply for Caudwell if eligable to cover the cost particular when quality supplements are sourced from US. Remember Caulwell helps in other areas other than biomedical and TST as per this link http://www.caudwellchildren.com/how-we-help/ Nice to see the Scotson Technique mentioned twice. Bottom line, most families should try, if eligable, to gain Caudwell funding for therapies that should be available on the NHS. I don't know, but whatever the reason, it means I and probably many others, can no longer afford to help our kids by buying supps, etc. > > > > > > > > > > Very grateful to Caudwell for helping us in the first place but not being able to afford basic supplements (clean ones) is very frustrating and leaves me feeling very guilty. > > > > > > > > > > Not looking for sympathy here, just raising the point that helping our children biomedically is a very expensive venture if you want to do it with 'good' and 'clean' supplements (not Holland and Barrett type). A bottle of kirkman enzymes runs at £75.00 quid for example and CP1 is £30 odd quid isn't it? > > > > > > > > > > Anyway, if some of you have names of probiotics and other basic supplements that you buy locally (not from nutricentre, etc) that are reasonable can you list them? not only to help me but others who are struggling to pay for it all. If you can buy them at Tesco/Sainsburys or even Holland and B, please list. > > > > > > > > > > Thanks > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
