Confusing IGENEX results. Can someone help?

All,

We had our 8 yr old tested for lyme at IGENEX. The test included Lyme

IFA,IgM Western Blot, IgG Western Blot, and Lyme Multiplex PCR (serum

and whole blood). Looks like mixed results. Any thoughts? L

Results:

Lyme IFA - titer was 1:40, considered indeterminate

IgM Western Blot - Negative on both Igenex and CDC/NYS (all bands neg)

IgG Western Blot - 1 Indeterminate band, 3 pos bands, 10 neg bands

** 31 kDa IND

** 39 kDa +

** 41 kDa +++

** 58 kDa +

Igenex Positive since more than 2 of the double starred bands were +

CDC/NYS Negative since less than 5 bands were positive

Lyme Multiplex PCR (serum and whole blood) - Negative on Genomic as

well as Plasmid
