Guest guest
hi all, Just got bak from my first consult with the dr. i have a six yr old with global delay and myoclonic epilepsy. i have worked hard with jean and got most of his terrible gut issues resolved but today dr ha s pointed the finger of blame at a what he feels could be serious herpes or some virus. he believes there is immunotoxicity and ha s ordered the neuroviral test ,result next week. because my son has bad s eizures daily dr goyal rated his risk high of a very bad die off which could lead to seriously more seizures he felt he may even give ezythrocin and fluconazole so that there would be antiviral, antifunngal , antibiotic all there for three months and he would give steriod to supress the inflammatry reponse. in the meantime he gave sodium cromoglycate to dampen the mast cell response and see how much food could be causing anty problem. please please anyone reading this who has a child with seizures who used an antiviral let me know, i need advice. the dr felt rectal diazepam would also be usable just in case. so in short a ten percent risk which he rates as high risk, i am just trying to figure this out. my brother a cardiologist consultant has warned that i should not use this antiviral . please advise or anyone who has used valtrex pls give me your account, why was it prescribed. thks tahira
