Guest guest
Hi all. There's a new eGroup I've set up especially young people (20 to 35) with MS, called MS_Youth. If you're interested, check out the Web site and the blurb below... /group/MS_Youth I'm looking for this to be a support group for young men and women (20 to 35) living with MS, a " virtual " place where people can go to exchange their thoughts and feelings about the disease. Or not. Sometimes NOT talking about MS with someone who HAS MS is just as comforting as dishing about the disease. MS is confusing and often hard to explain to friends and family who can't " see " that there's anything wrong with you. When you're young, sometimes this is even more pronounced, with people in your social circles not wanting to go that extra mile to " understand " . Here, " what's wrong with you " is a given, so we don't need to worry about awkward explanations. I don't want this eGroup to be heavy or depressing and ALL about MS. Just come here. Chat. Send messages. Make friends. This disease is a PART of who we all are, but it doesn't define us. But sometimes we need to talk to others -- and others our own age -- to realize this and have it affirmed. Cheers.
