We use zinc picolinate to counter copper - but, I think Dr. McCandless uses

a different form. I lost it on my e-mails and I wish I knew the brand, too.

I prefer VRP's zinc monomethionine if I use only one source of zinc for it's

biological properties, but I usually combine it with zinc picolinate (I use

Thorne's), which is supposed to be more absorbable, to get the high amount

of zinc most of our kids need. Dr. JM

Thank you for writing back on this topic...but of course, I was sleep-deprived

when I

first posted and unclear. Yes, I know the kinds of zinc you like. But, a few

people use

only the E-lyte products, which are water-based, almost tasteless drops when

added to

salty food. For example, their magnesium has 22 mg for 10 drops, and 10 drops

is the

daily dosage; however, most of us might need 200 mg of magnesium a day for our

kids.

I'm wondering if the e-lyte in smaller doses is supposed to do the same thing as

a larger

dosed capsule or powder, like, maybe it goes straight to the cells or something.

It is

sold on the autism coach website.

Their zinc drops have 6.8 mg in 7 drops, which is the recommended daily dosage,

and

the sourc is zinc sulphate. I'm wondering if I'm supposed to use, say, 30-35

drops for

my 29 pound son or the 7 drops. And I also wonder if zinc sulphate is efficient

at being

antagonistic to copper.

Hope that's clearer, and I'd love also to hear from anyone who uses these drops,

and

their results.

Thanks again! Jill
