Visual Problems and Autism

I really need to know if there are any other parent(s) of kids on the spectrum who have visual\tracking problems. DS's eyes do not track and bounce everywhere. He thinks text looks like cursive and is sometimes upside down. The school thinks there isn't a problem even though he cannot read ("well, he can read 8 pt font). DS compensates like a champ.

Does anyone have any experience, ideas, lists, etc. with this? I've asked before but all I'm hearing are crickets.
