The run in with my betchy neighbors has left me tight with bad energy today so I was blessed that my friend Leza came over to do some power yoga with me. The emphasis in this 55 minute practice was supposedly front stretches and yes, there were some, but there were also some half moons, revolved triangles, lower body and back stretches, and much needed hip openers as well. It again takes place on Bali, this time on the grounds of a different temple and it's oh so lovely. There is one pose they did that I had never seen before that was impossibly hard and we just laughed in the modifed pose while they showed off. I don't know the name of this pose so I will describe it: You take your left leg forward in a lunge and rest it on your left shoulder. You lift up your left leg and hold it with your left hand while you balance on your right hand and extended leg on the ground. Eoin calls it a cross between the splits and a side angle pose. Before that you have already done forward and lateral splits (hanushirshasana?) My body and spirit feel sooooooooooo much better, even more so now that I'm sipping pink grapefruit flavored vodka with some diet sprite (this chicka has had a rough day)Tomorrow I may do more yoga because Thursday I run again, the last time before my race on Sunday. I have a one hour massage scheduled for Thursday evening with Robin and I can hardly wait!

Guest guest
OMG seriously, all of Eoin's dvd's are awesome but he really outdid himself with this set. I would encourage ANY fan on Eoin's to pick this up. I've done only the longer yoga practices but have neglected to do the meditations, which is probably what I need to do the most. Maybe after my workout tomorrow evening I will end with one of those Namaste, I only did short version and don't remember this.. but I do remember feeling awesome after.. all of these are great.. Guest guest
Judy, I shall and will review when I do. Thanks for the meditation push, I really need to do more of it! When I was an avidly practicing Buddhist I was very good about meditating a good 30 minutes at a time. I really need to get back into doing that again. It did wonders for my soul. Even doing just yoga helped my soul even more than my body today! More Blissology on the dock for tomorrow. My lower back is also happy about this! ohhh do the meditation.. I admit to be very bad at yoga and esp. meditation.. I have a hard time focusing but these are beautifulyou will love it. judy To: exercisevideos Sent: Tue, March 8, 2011 11:03:35 PMSubject: Re: [Exercise Videos] Eoin Finn's 55 minute Front Body Stretches from the Blissology Project OMG seriously, all of Eoin's dvd's are awesome but he really outdid himself with this set.
