Guest guest
I have the Kirkman 50mg P5P with Mag. glycinate and the Biocare 50mg P5P Complex. Henry's neuro has put him back on 250mg pyridoxine a day (this is a much lower dose for his bodyweight than he was on until nearly 5 years ols; he's now over 11 1/2.) The NHS-prescribable pyridoxine tablets are hard for him to swallow and caps. are unavailable - he was sick on Monday after taking them becasue he had to drink 3 glasses of water before he could get them down, and school says it's very difficult for him, so I am going to use capsules of P5P, which I have to but - and they are expensive. He swallows capsules easily. Does anyone know of any P5P available in higher doses than 50mg, p[lease? Also, does anyone know of a brand cheaper than Kirkman or Biocare? Thank you, Margaret
Guest guest
Dear MargaretWe managed to find 100mg tablets on a US site and were told to give equal quantities of P5P and pyridoxine.. We were giving Tash 200mg or each.. however for us it made not difference at all to her seizures. I have been speaking to a Russian Neurologist recently and he described a very interesting condition. It is NOT epilepsy, rather it is brought on by cerebral congestion .. ie the blood into the brain flows in easier than it flows out.. and this creates a seizure like brain wave... often low frequency which is and will improve as breathing becomes more normal so that went blood flow out of the brain is better and equals blood flow in.. the seizure like condition can improve. Thinking laterally from here.. I wonder if this might give some basis for an explanation of why P5P and Pyridoxine may be more effective on some " seizures " but not on others like Tash which correspond to a brain injury. Just a thoughtTraceyPS google american sites.. I think I might have used either i-herb or OldeVitaminShoppe.. however they were low allergy formulations.
