Guest guest
This is such a lovely update Ann..... really good to hear ) Also wanted to say your post has suddenly made me realise, my son (16yrs severe and complex/profound difficulties) has over last couple of days been displaying some resistance and stubborn behaviour. We started Neuroprotek end of May. I realise the age thing... BUT he is always been an extremely placcid child (not sure if its correct term), maybe completely " indifferent " . I am seeing a slightly different side to him like eg. he will choose not to stand up when I go to stand him up or he will refuse to give me what he is holding. It is a good " stubborness " for a child who is always indifferent if you know what I mean! The other reaction we've had over last 2 days is an alteration in seizure pattern with clusters of spasms that have required us to give emergency meds once. He does get these spasms ocassionally and wld normally be associated with things like teething, air pressure changes, infections etc, so I guess I will have to watch this over next couple of days. emily > > > > > > > > Great update Ann, thanks so much for this, very helpful when so many > > > folks > > > > starting out. Guest guest
this is fantastic news about being resistant/stubborn. I actually think this moving from passivity is part of what leaving the screens behind is about for my son. He wants to make things happen (water move, today a bit of furniture tipping) rather than watch them happen, over and over. it seems not all my posts are going through. i sent you a little note offlist--let me know if you don't get it. Guest guest
Hi Anita, This is great news!! It gives hope to those of us just starting out on Neuroprotek. Out of interest, what dose have you used for your son? So far, we are 2 weeks in, and are still on 1 capsule daily. Thanks, .

Guest guest
Thanks :-) He's getting 2 a day. He weighs 50 pounds, so that's the recommended dose now. We started at one a day for the first week or so and then went up. fingers crossed for everyone! Anita > > Hi Anita, > > This is great news!! Guest guest
i posted something like this before, but it didn't go through. So, belated thanks to everyone for their kind words and encouragement. I had hesitated to post about what I think we're seeing, as it is subtle and we have had setbacks before, but the science behind NP makes a lot of sense to me and really seemed to explain all of the regressions we've seen over the years.
