Jen, congrats on doing all the planks with tricep extensions!  Even on the knees that is a tough exercise! And BOO on that volleyball group!  Some groups are just cliquish and snobby and you'll be happier with a different group anyway.  I'm a terrible VB player, you could kill me on the courts I'm sure!

Anyway, CLX is a better workout than volleyball!

Good job! I did part of Lean 3 yesterday, didn't have the time or energy to do the whole thing. I hate quitting but yesterday was SOOOO bad! So, I get to work at 8:30 and I have already eaten my breakfast. For my job, I work with troubled youth that are either in alternative schools, or are experimenting with drugs, have troubles with the law, etc... these kids need help! Anyway, I go to meet my first group of kids at 12 (I didn't have time to eat lunch before this), then I meet with my next group of kids at 12:45. well in between these groups, I am dog tired and can barely hold my eyes open! My husband drinks those 5 hour shots a lot and I really get on to him about drinking those, but he does anyway. Well he had one of those in my car, and I happened to see it, so I drank it. I've never had one of those

before. Well that definitely woke me up and I got though my next two groups of kids. When I finished, it was time to pick my kids up from school. I got them home, started working on their homework, then I did a quick review of my turbo class and reviewed some old abs sections from old rounds. I like to mix up the abs a lot. Before I knew it, it was time to go teach Turbo Kick at 5:30.I get to Turbo class and realize I'm shaking... I had not eaten anything since 7:30; other than my 5 hour energy shot! What was I thinking? I literally forgot to eat and really didn't have time to eat! So I was asking everyone if they had any snack with them and I finally found a small bag of M & M's,.... healthy, right?!?! So I ate those and BARELY made it through teaching a full round of Turbo. I had to do all low impact because I was so afraid I would pass out.So needless to say,

I came home, ate, then popped in LEan Circuit 3 and couldn't finish. :( Oh it was a rough day. I will remember to eat today! Teena

I WISH I could " forget " to eat! I plan my meals, because I know I am hungry at

certain times of the day, and if I don't have something healthy planned, then I

eat something from the vending machines. They never have good things there.

Hmmm... I might try one of those 5 hour shot things...

I didn't get a call back to play volleyball tonight. I think it's for the best because it's obvious that they ONLY want their group to play. This spring I will start playing again at another place I know. I don't like going there in the winter because the driveway can be very icy and dangerous.

Anyway, CLX is a better workout than volleyball!

Yea, that is rought, Teena. If I let my blood sugar drop too low I get all weird and shakey. I hate feeling like that. I never tried those 5 hour energy things - is it just a mega dose of caffeine?Donna

Good job! I did part of Lean 3 yesterday, didn't have the time or energy to do the whole thing. I hate quitting but yesterday was SOOOO bad! So, I get to work at 8:30 and I have already eaten my breakfast. For my job, I work with troubled youth that are either in alternative schools, or are experimenting with drugs, have troubles with the law, etc... these kids need help! Anyway, I go to meet my first group of kids at 12 (I didn't have time to eat lunch before this), then I meet with my next group of kids at 12:45. well in between these groups, I am dog tired and can barely hold my eyes open! My husband drinks those 5 hour shots a lot and I really get on to him about drinking those, but he does anyway. Well he had one of those in my car, and I happened to see it, so I drank it. I've never had one of those before. Well that definitely woke me up and I got though my next two groups

of kids. When I finished, it was time to pick my kids up from school. I got them home, started working on their homework, then I did a quick review of my turbo class and reviewed some old abs sections from old rounds. I like to mix up the abs a lot. Before I knew it, it was time to go teach Turbo Kick at 5:30. I get to Turbo class and realize I'm shaking... I had not eaten anything since 7:30; other than my 5 hour energy shot! What was I thinking? I literally forgot to eat and really didn't have time to eat! So I was asking everyone if they had any snack with them and I finally found a small bag of M & M's,.... healthy, right?!?! So I ate those and BARELY made it through teaching a full round of Turbo. I had to do all low impact because I was so afraid I would pass out.

So needless to say, I came home, ate, then popped in LEan Circuit 3 and couldn't finish. :( Oh it was a rough day. I will remember to eat today!

I read something yesterday that said it actually has less slightly caffeine than an average cup of coffee. Are the effects magnified without sufficient food? The article was about things you can buy that are hyped but you can get something else that will do the same thing a lot cheaper (like coffee in this case). I'll try to find the article.

Interesting... FRS has caffeine too but I love the quercetin.. in fact there are some other drinks with this ingredient will give me same sort of lift... not the shakey caffeine high.. but again everybody reacts differentlyI don't drink any soda an occasional green tea and 1 cup coffee at most a day.. so I don't get tons of caffeine.jTo:

Interesting... FRS has caffeine too but I love the quercetin.. in fact there are some other drinks with this ingredient will give me same sort of lift... not the shakey caffeine high.. but again everybody reacts differentlyI don't drink any soda an occasional green tea and 1 cup coffee at most a day.. so I don't get tons of caffeine.jTo:

I read something yesterday that said it actually has less slightly caffeine than an average cup of coffee. Are the effects magnified without sufficient food? The article was about things you can buy that are hyped but you can get something else that will do the same thing a lot cheaper (like coffee in this case). I'll try to find the article.

Good job! I did part of Lean 3 yesterday, didn't have the time or energy to do the whole thing. I hate quitting but yesterday was SOOOO bad! So, I get to work at 8:30 and I have already eaten my breakfast. For my job, I work with troubled youth that are either in alternative schools, or are experimenting with drugs, have troubles with the law, etc... these kids need help! Anyway, I go to meet my first group of kids at 12 (I didn't have time to eat lunch before this), then I meet with my next group of kids at 12:45. well in between these groups, I am dog tired and can barely hold my eyes open! My husband drinks those 5 hour shots a lot and I really get on to him about drinking those, but he does anyway. Well he had one of those in my car, and I happened to see it, so I drank it. I've never had one of those before. Well that definitely woke me up and I got though my next two groups of kids. When I finished, it was time to pick my kids up from school. I got them home, started working on their homework, then I did a quick review of my turbo class and reviewed some old abs sections from old rounds. I like to mix up the abs a lot. Before I knew it, it was time to go teach Turbo Kick at 5:30. I get to Turbo class and realize I'm shaking... I had not eaten anything since 7:30; other than my 5 hour energy shot! What was I thinking? I literally forgot to eat and really didn't have time to eat! So I was asking everyone if they had any snack with them and I finally found a small bag of M & M's,.... healthy, right?!?! So I ate those and BARELY made it through teaching a full round of Turbo. I had to do all low impact because I was so afraid I would pass out.

Well it did give me energy, but it's not worth it for me because of the side effects. I think it actually made me feel full because believe me, I usually make time to eat, but it just didn't occur to me. I think it also made me very grumpy (could have been lack of food, idk), but I was very mad last night and didn't have any reason to feel that way. I also didn't sleep good at all last night, so those shots aren't worth all that and I don't plan on doing that again. I just need to keep something in my car like granola bars or something like that that I can snack on if I don't have time to eat. Unfortunately, that's part of my job... I'm always in the go and in my car driving from one place to another.

Teena... I am the same way between work, dog training, etc... I have a little cooler/basket thing with can of nuts, some raisins, and a few luna protein bars, etc. for those times I am not going to have time to eat. It really helps. I also have microwave popcorn as I can always find a microwave.. Hi Teena,

I'm in my car all the time too. I keep bananas and grapes (in an insulated bag with a cold pack in the summer, for the grapes anyway) and some snack bars too but I try to stick to the fruit because it is more filling (and healthier). I've heard of doing the drinkable yogurt too, but I'm not a yogurt fan. I might try frozen smoothies in a big mug this spring.

i think what has made a huge difference in my diet is my afternoon protein

shake. 3 pm:) i don't have the 3 pm slump anymore and it fills me up enough i

don't overeat at dinner time.

Are you a counselor for troubled kids?I don't know if you know this or not but I'm a sign language interpreter. I do mostly medical interpreter for Deaf patients. My job can really be a 24/7 job. I've worked over-night in the hospital a few times. So I understand how it feels to forget to eat. I try to bring a protein drink with me but if I'm called to a last minute assignment, that makes it hard.Try to keep snacks in your car, like nuts, that will help.Feelin' your pain, Jen

Jen I work a call out job as well. I keep a bag with bottled water, dried fruit/nuts, melba toast, and peanut butter hanging by the door. Most of the time Dr. appointments and procedures are scheduled but I do get called in for the ER or when someone forgets to schedule an interpreter. I get paid $3 an hour more so if I'm not busy I like to take those assignments. I usually just bring either Muscle milk, Special K protein drink, Slim Fast or one of those special K or diet bars. Are you a counselor for troubled kids?I don't know if you know this or not but I'm a sign language interpreter. I do mostly medical interpreter for Deaf patients. My job can really be a 24/7 job. I've worked over-night in the hospital a few times. So I understand how it feels to forget to eat. I try to bring a protein drink with me but if I'm called to a last minute assignment, that makes it hard.Try to keep snacks in your car, like nuts, that will help.Feelin' your

yeah I am a school counselor and I travel around to schools in 2 counties and work with kids that are at risk of dropping out of high school, or are at risk, or actively abusing drugs, so I am in my car all the time. Plus I supervise 3 other ladies that do this job in other counties, so when I'm not seeing my own caseload, I visit them and observe them with kids. It's a fun job, but heartbreaking at the same time because I see so many kids throw their life away. Just last Friday 4 of my kids got arrested for selling drugs at school, one sent to hospital for intensive treatment, and about 3 others just can't come see me anymore because they are in isolation. :( I just worry about them... so it's been a rough week, but exercise is SOOO helpful! I am going to do Lean 1 in a few! :)Teena

I didn't get a call back to play volleyball tonight. I think it's for the best because it's obvious that they ONLY want their group to play. This spring I will start playing again at another place I know. I don't like going there in the winter because the driveway can be very icy and dangerous.

Anyway, CLX is a better workout than volleyball!

It must be hard to see kids throw their lives away like that just to do drugs! I haven't interpreted for any Deaf kids in that situation but I have interpreted for Deaf mother's of kids that were having problems in school (some were abusing drugs, some had mental health issues.) It is HARD! Just be sure to take care of yourself, EAT, get plenty of rest and make sure you do that Turbo, that will help you A LOT! It get's the aggression out right? I may do a CLX ab workout later, we'll see. Jen
