Last week, my nonverbal 7 year old started to imitate vocal sounds. By the end of the week she was doing vowels on request and began some constants. By last saturday she put together 'mom' with verbal prompting. Yesterday she repeated 'i love you' 4x. This morning she was readily repeating hi, mom, i love you and other sounds. Tonight for kicks I asked her what her name was and SHE TOLD ME 'gillian'. Holy COW!!! By the end of our session, we had called every aunt, uncle, grandparent and friend and when I asked her what her name was she said her first and last name. She also expressivly answered 'what's this questions' for 6 body parts!!! So....Thanks you Stan...thank you Valtrex. I have waited 7 years to hear her beautiful little voice!!!
