Guest guest
I left my house for a week and when I returned the tea had a " tea- colored " foam at the top of the jar...It was covering the scoby, but doesn't look harmful...Is it just because the scoby is releasing so much gas or should I chuck it??? Remember...I'm the guy who used pineapple juice to replace starter tea...I'm hoping it's safe to drink...
Guest guest
Nick-- foam will show up when there is a lot of gas developing. It is normal. I hope you'll save out some starter tea and leave out the pineapple for your next batch --V >I made a new batch of tea and left my house for a week...When I >returned the tea had a " tea-colored " foam at the top of the jar...It >was covering the scoby, but doesn't look harmful...Is it just because >the scoby is releasing so much gas or should I chuck it??? > >Remember...I'm the guy who used pineapple juice to replace starter >tea...I'm hoping it's safe to drink... ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J.
