Yellow page effectiveness?

Good morning! I have a question if you have time to answer..... How effective do you find a yellow page listing for your private practice? I can get a free listing in just one of the four yellow pages used in my metropolitan area. Or I can pay money each month to be listed in all and/or to be listed more prominently, etc. I don't want to spend more than I need to or less than I should. Input, please?
