Guest guest
Lizzie in Oz, athletes need water to dehydrate their bodies plus minerals, etc for energy. Same as people need food and water. It is the amount of water that is the question. H2O is the vehicle to carry nutrition's in and toxins out. Juice (et al) is the nutrient. The question is does your body have enough H2O to function. many people have claimed recovery from serious maladies simply by drinking 1/2 of their body weight in ounces of H2O. So if you weigh 100 pounds drink 50 ounces of H2O. When drinking KT it is important to drink more water. KT is a diuretic (makes you pee) Coffee and tea are diuretic as well. Ed Kasper LAc. Date: Sun Sep 3, 2006 4:48 pm (PDT) We only have about 3 oz K a day with the same of mineral water. This is Kombuched apple juice. How much are you guys talking about? The Profs here teach that juice and water together are more hydrating than plain water - similar principle to why athletes drink others things than plain water. best, Lizzie in Oz
