Yes today is what really matters. I have accepted my circumstances but do not

enjoy them..thanks for the uplift..

is the chance that life will go

on. This is true for all people with this disease of cirrhosis.

A chance that a cure will come along, that they will have a second

chance to do the things in life they planned to, a chance that someone

will be kind enough, that it their life is gone...they will give

someone a gift they would never get to know about...like their organ.

Life is very precious and nothing brings us to our knees faster than

realizing that it can be taken away in a matter of seconds.

It is difficult to come to terms with the reality that you have the

cirrhosis.

Some people go through a period where they deny it...thinking that

it is a nightmare that they will wake up from.

Some people go through a period of anger..especially, if they have

been health conscious all their lives and they come down with

hepatitis from an unknown cause.

Some people feel they are being punished caused they refuse to give

up bad habits, like drinking alcohol, smoking, or using street drugs.

Some people feel overwhelmed by the diagnoses of the disease and

give up immediately while others start to fight till the end for

their lives.

Some people try to find every remedy and will try many things that

other people have done to stop this disease...like vitamin taking,

herbal remedies, yoga, liver cleansing, etc.

Some people will gather as much information as they can to know more

about how they could help themselves where others decide they don't

want to know anything...let things take its course.

Some people face the disease head on and with determination while

others give up and feel there is no use.

Whatever circumstances you may be in now, take a good look at

your past life....now forget it. No one can go back to once was...

you can only go forward. If you worry about tomorrow, then your

mind will constantly be in the future and not on the time you have

right now. So take things one day at a time and try to enjoy what

you have. If you need to change things you did or will do...do

it at a pace that is comfortable for you. Be gentle with yourself.

Make amends with those you love and reach out to others...you may

be surprised how they will reach back. Give yourself room to

breathe and think. Accept what has happened to you and realize that

many others have already gone through it and in essence, because they

have been through it...they can help you understand. They also have

helped others in a way that they might not even know about, like

more advances toward a cure for the disease. Some may feel like

they have become a burden to others because of the disease...

realize that it is their turn to be helpful to someone else just as

you would be helpful to them if the circumstances were reversed.

You are a unique person...no one else has your makeup, your life,

your experience, your way of doing the things you do.

Live for today, be happy, be content, go on from here and do

what you feel is right.
