Background... My son has responded extremely well to chelation with

TD DMSA. In less than 6 months of it, we were able to eliminate

between 80-90% of his " autistic " behavior. My wife and I heard of

people treating their children for anti virals, and were curious.

Both of the doctors that we are using do not use this type of

treatment. My son's original regression was around the time of his

MMR. This was one of the reason's why we wanted to look into anti

virals. We wanted to get rid of that lingering 10-20%.

We read the advice of many doctors before doing this. We are using

all natural supplements, and we are seeing everything that you many

of you are describing here. We did a two day High Dose Vitamin A

protocol with a lower maintenance dose. We then cranked up the

Olive Leaf Extract, and are also using other natural anti virals

such as Grapfruit Seed Extract and Uva Ursi. We also adjusted a few

other supplements. He has also been on the B12 shots for a few

months.

After only a few days, my son went from acting 80-90% recovered to

slipping into Stim Hell! Unbelievable. We started this 8 days ago,

and the regression started within a day.

He has a rash on his legs and cheeks that comes and goes. He

started vomiting again when certain textures touch his tongue (He

has not done this since Labor Day and it used to be an every day

occurrence). His speech is somewhat slurred (but vocabulary has

improved). His eyes are droopy. He is lethargic and sleepy a lot

and more irritable. He is doing more toe walking and hand flapping

than I have ever seen him do (This was practically gone prior to the

Vitamin A).

He has also developed mild flu like symptoms, and is warm to the

touch with no fever. For the most part, he is handling it all very

well though, considering, and is in a great mood for a child who has

mild flu like symptoms.

I have a couple questions.

Has anyone else here used the combination of natural anti virals,

and how long do most kids slip into this " healing regression " ? I am

not planning on letting up, because his body is definitely fighting

off something, and he is doing very well, but I have to say I did

not expect to see regression of this magnitude. I am amazed, but I

guess from what I am reading here, I should also be very happy.

Does anyone know of any benefit in looking into Valtrex if I am

seeing this with the natural supplements that I am using?
