Guest guest
Audrey, GT= Dave's first name. I asked what tea he used and he simply said trade secret. I think in the USA anything dunked in hot water is referred to as a tea. as far as tibicos, water kefir or Japanese water crystals they are all uniquely different - or may be all the same just fermented with different liquids (water vs. milk) Kefir milk grains may be made to look like any of the others. As far as I know only Kefir (milk kefir) has been researched and extensively studied with a listing of the bacteria and yeasts identified. Milk Kefir grains will ferment in water but not reproduce (grow and multiply as they do in milk) Tibicos will multiply in only water and sugar Ed Kasper LAc. Also, on the Ferment Treasure site they comment about Tibicos, water kefir, japanese water crystals, being the same culture? Makes it confusing, for I would like to know the facts. I obtained the water kefir grains. Audrey
