I don't think anyone should feel a victim of ie Boyle Sara, the reason I mentioned his column in the Sun is because their readers are his fan base and he knows it. The kind of people he is hoping to amuse are people so dim they don't realise their newspaper of choice actually despises them!

These are the people that are responsible for most of the disability hate in the Country, they are not Guardianista's, to them ie Boyle speaks their language, and doesn't he just?

The Sun employ him knowing full well his reputation and the furore around this story, will MENCAP back a campaign to boycott the Sun until they get rid of him?

A weekly column is the Sun says it all to me.

I don't accept that we need to be his victims and just resign ourselves

to this abuse. How much power can one man have? There is one of him and

loads of us - I'll personally finish him off if I have to. He's a

cowardly imbecile.

I have written to complain to my MP, my AM, Minister of State for Care

Services Burstow, Channel 4, NAS, Mencap and to Price to say

I support her. I haven't written to Ofcom yet but I will. I will write

to anyone else that people can suggest too. (e.g. is there a society for

people with Downs Syndrome that I could contact?)

So far I have received the most pathetic reply from NAS (even compared

to what I have come to expect) and a great reply from Mencap - I'll cut

and paste both below. NAS then Mencap. (Let's all friend Mencap on FB to

show our support btw)

Mencap has been heavily involved in challenging channel 4 over its airing of

ie Boyle's so called humour and has been working with Price after his

cruel jibes about her son.

The work has been led by our media and campaigns team in london. I have

forwarded your email to them who I hope will be able to give you a fuller update

on their work. Alternatively you could befriend mencap on facebook and get

updates of our work in challenging offensive language and attitudes to people

with a learning disability.
