,

Don't know what others will suggest, but A & D Ointment (the really greasy stuff

used for diaper rash) has helped with dry skin around here. It was such a cold

winter, and it was really great for hands, rough heels, etc. My hands were in

such bad shape, they were cracked and bleeding a couple of times - so I went to

bed with this stinky stuff smeared on and my hands were much improved by the

next morning. (It's also great for chapped lips, as it's not easily wiped off).

A relative uses this on her grandson's hands and says it's wonderful (he had a

dermatitis like condition).

For a lighter use (just dry itchy skin) and for sensory integration at school, I

send in the ShiKai brand lotion with borage oil - it's helpful, but not as

intense.

Hope this helps!

Becky

dry skin

Hi.. my son has developed really dry skin.. especially on his legs..

and his elbows look like they have psorasis now. He's progressing

great and I don't want to really change anything but wondered if

anyone has any suggestions on what might help this. I've tried all

the normal moisturing things that I've used before.

Thanks!

I have heard good things about using virgin coconut oil. Has healing and

soothing properties and smells good. You can find it at most health food

stores.
