Re: arsenic: it is used to treat wood used on decking and children's play

structures... I've heard that it isn't in redwood, but is used in other types.

chelation

We are supposed to start chelation with our daughter using DMPS. We had her

hair sampled in 2001 and she showed little mercury but high aluminum and

arsenic. We chelated 6 mo. with DMSA /ALA in 2002. We had her hair tested again

a few weeks ago. We received the results from GPL and the results are EXACTLY

the same as they were in 2001. We changed all of our cookware, drinking water,

shampoos, soaps, and everything we could think of 2-3 years ago. Is DMPS

" better " than DMSA - and - will the chelation " take " this time? Or, is a hair

sample not a good meter of success? We didn't notice any regressions or

progressions with chelation in 2002. It was expensive and time consuming. I

guess I'm just a little reluctant to do this all over again. We seem to really

have a hard time getting aluminum and arsenic out and she's testing 2-3 times

higher than normal range in these areas. Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks. I'm anxious to see the results. Have you had much luck in chelating

copper? We are using zinc picolinate 75mg. without success. Our daughter's

copper seum levels remain high, but I'm optimistic with the chelation

process.
