IT>EN Scissione

Hi, me, the non-clinician again with my heart sounds:

In a med exam form for life insurance, one of the questions is

" Sussistono delle anomalie dei toni cardiaci (intensità, scissione)? "

I have never heard of scissione in this context, and found nothing on

the Net.

Any hints welcome! Needed by tomorrow.

Great, thanks very much! I wondered, esp. as this is Swiss Italian.

Well, in fact in Spanish we say **Desdoblamiento de los ruidos cardiacos**,

because in this phenomenon one can hear two sounds where normally only one

should be heard. And another verb for " dividing by two " would be **Escindir**,

or performing a **Escisión**, wich lookd very much like Scissione. Then I looked

in Google for " Heart block sounds " and got that web where it talks about

Splitting.

I actually have been backtranslating stuff into German and French to get at some

of these things .... but see, the image of escisión, or a clean cutting in two,

vs. a desdoblamiento was I guess what addled my mind.
