I've been encouraged by a nutritionist to give Cameron butter for the

essential fatty acid (can't remember which one) it contains. She says

butter has no casein in it. Is this true?

When we tried BED, Eli didn't do well on raw butter. So should I assume that

raw milk would affect him the same way? or maybe home made yogurt made with

raw milk would be different. paula h.

Abbire,

Butter does have a small amount of casein. My son did not do well on it,

although I believe some of the kids do. We eat ghee, which is casein free, with

all the good properties of butter. You can get Purity Farms brand in your

health store, or order raw ghee from wildernessfamilynaturals.com. They both

taste great and can be used the same way you would use butter. Good luck.

It has to be ghee, which has all the milk protein taken out. Regular

butter raw or not definitely has casein in it. Dr.JM----- Original

Thank you. That was a valuable piece of information. Now it falls together

in my mind why Dr. Bock had at one point mentionned ghee as a good

possibility. No butter for us!
