Guest guest
Chris- Good for you! At least some parts of the law are fair in judging. Sounds like you were lucky to get a compasionate judge. Did you have to pay anything when they towed your car? If so, would they reimbust you? I sure hope so if you did pay anything. Congrats and good luck! Jane
Guest guest
Dear Jane, Thank you for the email. Today I went to small claims court to take SF to court for towing me ($188.). The judge seemed fair & said that he would notify me by mail. The main points are that they were legally required to notify me b/f towing & that the laws of placard use were never communicated. What irked me was that - according to the DMV report, this was a sting operation and that they checked my card because they watched me walking away from the vehicle & did not think that I looked disabled. Why should a meter maid or enforcement cop have the power to make that decision? Anyways, I am glad to fight it & very happy that the major fine was waived. Well wishes, Chris
Guest guest
It sounds like you got a good judge. I'm glad he waived the big fine too. It would be fair to reimburse you also for the tow as well. In a perfect world...well you know. Good luck, Jane
