Guest guest
Somehow our local paper found we were moving to Italy for health care reasons. I reviewed books for the paper for the last 20 years and they asked if a columnist could do a story. Here is a link to it: http://www.roanoke.com/columnists/flowers/wb/133585 Some pointed insurance questions and answers were spiked by her editor, but I think she did a great job in voicing our issues. --Larry

Guest guest
Great interview, Larry. I am fortunate that I had my BC-BS insurance from the Alabama Teacher Retirement System when I had to go on disability. Now with Medicare, I still need the BC-BS insurance to help pay for treatments and medicines that Medicare does not completely cover. I wish you well on your venture, and keep in touch with the group. Joe
Guest guest
Thanks for the responses. I will keep in touch after I land in Rome. The support and humor found on these pages is too important. Besides, Gretchen keeps printing my blow hard quips and others keep answering. One of the benefits of moving to Rome is that I will be under the care of Dr. Paolo Vinci. I have been conversing with Dr. Vinci for the last year and he feels that all I need to do to feel a lot better is lose 60 pounds! I've been trying that since my late 30's with little success. The article quoted me as saying that CMT was " not life threatening but life disgusting. " What I said that CMT was life defining. I said that retirement was disgusting and I wished I could still work. I guess the two quotes were interchanged. --Lorenzo nee Larry!
