Guest guest
Margie ... I tried Chiro. b/f acupuncture ... but I notice immediate results from acup. ... And yes, my symptom as the time was numbness ... started in my right toe ... and creeped through by body ... * please follow the * below ... -----Original Message----- >I will try acupuncture, too. I have done it >before and loved it...Mostly I am curious about this numb feeling and its >spread across my body. Is this what everyone with MS feels at times? ** M - the symptom you are describing are the symptoms I once had ... all the way down to the Carpel tunnel to numbness ... MS to so variable ... i would hesitate to say EVERYONE w. MS feels at times .... but probally a good portion ... the same but different probally describes it I think. How >long does it usually last? Does it usually spread? I am still >functioning...my biggest problem is zipping zippers on my kids jeans and >coats and putting the barrettes in my hair...and dropping things a lot. Is >this what others go through too? ** Again ... this disease is so variable ... It sounds 'oh so familiar' to me though ... I have been limiting my diet to less than >20 grams of saturated fat per day (the weight loss is added benefit!) and >have completely cut out caffeine, nutrasweet, and red meat. Mostly I am >eating salad and spinach and salmon. I am taking evening primrose oil every >time I walk by the bottle and also B12 and DMG. * I say ... good on you ... keep it up ... ** answering a ?? from b/f ... how long does it last? Mine lasted at least six months ... or so ... it was always there to some degree to me ... so it's hard to say the beginning and ending of the numbness ... Is there anything I am >missing that I should be doing? I'd say ... try ... TRY YOU " RE BEST to RELAX RELAX RELAX ... one thing this MS has traught me is that if I try to fight it is much more INTENSE ... BREATHE ... YES, LEARN TO BREATHE ... long deep breathes ... Thanks for all your help. Margie * no prob. ... how was your Chiro. appt.? Peace , -bec
Guest guest
BEC, ( are those your initials?) Thanks so much for responding. It helps to know that someone else has had a similar experience. The chiropractic experience has been fairly pleasant. The chiropractor is doing electrical stimulation on the arm that is the most numb. He is also using ultra sound massage and doing adjustments. I can feel my forearm now, so it is just the upper arm and my hand that are the main problem. Thanks again for your response. Margie
