Guest guest
We helped Alyssa by removing eggs, corn, tomatoes, apples and oranges (after going GFCF first). We're also peanut and soy free. You might try some Celtic sea salt in the bath (it might burn, though). My own eczema/psoriasis, which has been HORRIBLE for the last year and a half, and the dermatologist prescribes high strength cortisone for me, is DIRECTLY related to my consumption of anything in the nightshade family. It took a naturopath to help me with this one, and I thought he was crazy when he told me I'm severely allergic to the nightshade family. I eat tomatoes and potatoes every day. Well, I did. > I have tried CLO, to no avail. I've also tried calcium, to no avail. > Coal tar helps for a while, then seems to lose effectiveness? Guest guest
My 11 year old NT daughter developed this last year. On testing she was found to be massively zinc deficient. We addressed the deficiency with zinc picolate supplementation and there was a fairly rapid resolution. (She started growing again too!) Zinc may not be your problem, but worth considering Sharon (in the UK) > > I have tried CLO, to no avail. Guest guest
Debi, Psoriasis has been a very frustrating situation for my son for many years. He didn't develope it until he was about 12 (when we began supplements) and I've seen it get better and worse from a lot ot things. Some of the things which definitely make it worse are corn, spices, orange, lime, and anything to which he developes a food intolerance. For example, his psoriasis was not too bad, I gave him wheat grass and coconut every day (he was originally fine with them, but I should have rotated), his psoriasis got really bad until I figured that one out. So rotating foods helps. I think it's underlying problem is fungal in nature. Some other things that made it worse were some of the BED stuff (yck, apple cider vinegar), and some supplements (Udo's probiotics, even though everything on the label looks ok). Good luck. a H. Guest guest
Our son developed bad dandruff when we started supplementation. I never thought they were connected. I'll try to observe what exacerbates it. Also, his " chicken skin " especially on upper arms has gotten very bad in the same (supplementation) time period... Guest guest
Zinc helps my son's psoriasis as well. My DAN doc recommends 1mg per lb of body weight. My son takes 150mg per day (He weighs 140 lbs). a H.
