Guest guest
Hi KerryHave you considered diatomaceous earth instead of a colonic? www.diatom-x.co.uk. This is a silicon rich powder which gently cleanses the colon to improve surface area for nutrients to absorbed.. you probably need to start on a very low dose.. It is totally chemical free and cheap! As an alternative to an EEG.. which only shows things if they happen to be happening at that time ( my DD has complex seizures.. though nothing ever showed on EEG or MRI!!) It seems that most end up being done under sedation.. which slows system down too. Dr Sasha Kliminov, a russian paed and neurologist who has been working with autistic kids for many years, comes to the UK every three months and offers a test which shows oxygenation and blood flow levels around the brain. This to my mind is a lot more useful than an EEG... My own daughters epilepsy is caused by hypoxia.. ie reduced oxygen levels to parts of her brain.. which has been more useful information to work from than simple inconclusive EEG and MRI tests. Best WishesTracey Just saying Hi to everyone and thanking Kirsty for bullying me into coming back on here at the Andy Cutler Conference yesterday!! Sorry for stalking you so much Kirsty...told you you would regret the day you gave me yr mobile number!! I am also thanking Mandy for organising such a great and informative day, I am not so scared now! I did have a chat to Andy about Harry who is 10 in OCT and still nonverbal, he doesnt have any epilepsy or seizures yet but Andy did suggest perhaps an EEG and if anything is found medication may help with speech. Has anyone had the same experience and how easy was it to arrange and carry out an EEG on a severly autistic child??? Do you know the best place to get it done? We live in Bedfordshire and I am also looking into seeing if anyone knows of anywhere that would be prepared and have experience with autistic children to carry out a colonic as I feel that it would be very beneficial to Harry who has slow mobility? Guest guest
Hi Kerry, my son is 7 severely Autistic and non verbal, we had two EEGs last year one awake and one sleep induced with melatonin under Dr Kinali at Chelsea and Westminster. I was dreading it as lets just say rarely is still!!!! BUT he was Ok the hardest part for him was having electrodes stuck on his head once that was done he surprised us all. His results were normal.???? You'll need a few pairs of extra hands and lots of his favourite things. xxBelinda ps I was at the Andy Cutler day too THANK YOU MANDY it was really informative, what a quietly passionate man!!!!! Guest guest
Hi Tracey, Think the diatomaceous earth sounds good, if its the one that Kirsty was talking about at the weekend, is it similar to the kib? I cant see Harry staying still for colinic. The Russian doctor sounds great, how easy is it to get to see her and can it be done on the NHS? Does she offer any treatment if anything is found? Guest guest
hi this sounds good regarding oxygen breathing blood flow and respiratory and quite inexpensive Isobel x > > > > > > > ** > > > > > > > > > > > > Just saying Hi to everyone and thanking Kirsty for bullying me into > > coming > > > > back on here at the Andy Cutler Conference yesterday!! Guest guest
I think so too and I think that the way they do the EEG is a whole bunch less annoying than NHS do.. It provides a useful insight into how the brain is dealing with blood in and out of it.. and this can contribute to a lot of neural disfunction.. or operation at a lower level. Sasha is due back in September and is only here for a week... so if you are looking to do this testing with him.. it is worth booking soon. Sasha brings some of his Russian patients over with him too.. so that they can benefit from TST and the HBOT which offers... so it is interesting to see how these two fields of medicine are working together so harmoniously.
