Thanks for the info Holly. Do you know if there is casein or sunflower oil or egg in it?

My 3 yr old is allergic to those as well?

For those of you that have children on the gluten free diet. There is help at Costco now.

I just picked up a 2 pound bag of dell and evans gluten free dairy free breaded chicken strips ( chicken nuggets) for $8.95 which is a lot cheaper than Wild oats. I think they have 10 oz bags for $6.95.

I would stock up because I do not know how long costco will keep this in supply.

They are also carry Van Waffles and really cheap soy and almond breeze milk . It comes in a case of 12 for a little over $10.00 for the soy and $16.00 for the almond milk.

no casien but there is whole egg ( it is one of the last ingredients) and it is flash fried in soybean oil. These are not cooked chicken nuggets. They can not be cooked in the microwave in a few minutes they have to be cooked in the oven or deep fried.

The van waffles are gluten free, casien free, dairy free, egg free, sunflower oil free.

How much does it cost for a membership to Costco? I am not a member at either Costco or Sams! Which do you like better?StacieSent via BlackBerry by AT&TFrom: Holly Date: Thu, 8 Jan 2009 14:20:46 -0800 (PST)To: <AutismBehaviorProblems >Subject: Gluten free food now at COSTCO For those of you that have children on the gluten free diet. I really love costco. Membership it pricey at $50.00. They have an executive membership at $100.00 but it is only worth it if you spend thousands of dollars at costco every year. because the only real advantage to the executive membership is you get 2% cash back. I spent over $20'000 dollars last year due to business expenses so I got a nice check at the end of the year. : ) If you have an american express that you use, and pay an annual fee on. Costco members get this fee waived. Which in many cases pays for the membership.

I also like costco because they always have coupon books that they send out for things you really need like $8.00 off a box of huggies diapers or $3.00 off a box of cereal. There fruit and veggies are also really cheap. I get a pack of 6 heads of romaine lettuce for $4.00.

The other huge benefit is you can return anything you purchased at anytime and no reciept is required. That means that the toaster oven you bought a year ago that stopped working, it will be completly refunded no questions asked. Great for appliances no additional warranties needed. ( manufacters that sell to costco have to allow returns for any length of time) The only thing not returnable is electronics over 90 days. but costco gives a free 2 year warranty on all electronics. this does not include appliances though those are returnable at any time.

We also buy our tires there because they install for free and check air and rotate and balance for free for the life of the tires and the tires are also less expensive.

The only other down side to costco and sams is the lack of credit card use. Costco only takes American express, debit, checks or cash. They also have discounted gas that also does not take credit cards. Sams club is the same but the only card I believe they take is discover.

You can get into costco without a membership if you have a giftcard there or go with someone that is a member. If you have a friend that is a member I think you each get a free pizza or something when you sign up for a membership.

I have not had a membership to Sam's for years I believe it was $35.00 or something.

Sam's Club is $50 a year in TX, Costco in MD was the same price..to me, it seemed like Costco was a bit pricier, I could be wrong though.

I Love Cosco! It made me so mad when we had to move and they didn't have one here.

We do go to Sams Club here but it just isn't the same. Kellie

Funny, my mom called me last night from Costco so excited that she

found these! I just wish we had one out here in the boonies...

I prefer Costco since they have more of what we use. They are more

expensive on some things, but again, they carry stuff for our very

allergic kids. I don't have a Costco anywhere near me, so we stock up

when we visit my mom up in the city.

Sam's Club is ok, but I think the things at Costco are nicer.
