Guest guest
Yes, old latin name vallecula Sylvia (Sylvian fissure) is the same as lateral sulcus, of which there are two - one on each side. Not to be confused with Sylvian canal, which is aquaductus cerebri, otherwise mesencephalic aquaduct, of which there is one, connecting the 3rd and 4th ventricles. Guest guest
could someone confirm that les vallées sylviennes are lateral sulci. and how many of them are there in a single brain, anyway? context is this sentence: l'IRM retrouve une giration d’aspect simplifié pour le terme et des vallées sylviennes trop larges. thanks jo ann -- Jo Ann Cahn Traduction et Relecture Scientifiques 33 rue Réaumur 75003 PARIS tel: 01 44 54 96 00 fax : 01 44 54 96
